The Paddlesport Coach builds on the foundation coaching skills learnt at Paddlesport Instructor. The award is relevant to potential coaches from all paddlesport disciplines including coaches who may work with competitive and recreational paddlers, it is available as bank- and boat-based options.
DURATION:
1 day Assessment after a period of consolidation
PRE-REQUISITES:
2 star award (either ‘new’ generic award, or both ‘old’ awards in kayak and canoe)
3 Star Award (‘old’ or ‘new’) in single and double blade discipline
Foundation Safety and Rescue Training (FSRT)
Valid First Aid certificate (first aid cert only needed by assessment date).
DETAILS:
Paddlesport Coaches will be able to run independent coaching sessions, and deliver progressive session building on a variety of skills in any type of Kayak or Open Canoe. Paddlesport Coaches can also assess all of the Paddlepower awards, and the 1 Star and 2 Star awards.
