What has been your best moment when you connected with nature?
My best moment, was my first visit to Thetford Forest as a child, I remember going there with my parents as a day out for a picnic, it was rare to go out as a child as my younger brother is autistic and this was still in an age were displaying behaviour was frowned upon. I had never seen so many trees, insects and animals at one time… I’m pretty sure I even saw a deer. That was the first time my eyes had been opened to nature and what was around us. It inspired me to study biology at A level and study trees in particular.
