In May 2016 we received £9,980 pounds from the Awards for All, Big Lottery Fund.
Rooted in Nature works to increase communities’ awareness of, access, and connectivity to local green spaces, waterways and areas of natural beauty, by providing active and engaging learning experiences and recreational activities.
We improve the health and wellbeing of local communities by providing a diversity of activities that increase physical activity, improve self-confidence and self-esteem.
Activities: We provide canoeing, kayaking, archery and bushcraft activities and experiences for individuals and groups, in particular for people who are deemed at risk and vulnerable to range social and economic concerns and challenges. We also provide raft building, team building, woodland activities and overnight camping experiences.
We have run several day sessions and a camping residential! The support staff were totally amazing in making this camp happen. We did some canoeing, spoon carving, cooking on a fire, fishing and more. A brilliant week.
