We are excited to launch our new project Elders Tribe Time- Well-being in the woods for the over 55s! What does it mean to be a elder? A space to meet new people and time to explore in a supported space.
With our work around the 8 Shields Nature Connection model we are aware their is a process and a journey to becoming an elder which our Western Culture often doesn’t recognise… Our staff team have a passion to provide a space for elders to come together in a nurturing and compassionate space to explore, talk, learn and grow…
Loosely based on the principles of Forest School and welcome anyone who wishes to explore what it means to be an elder.
The session will start at 10.30am and advise you arrive at 10.15am to give yourself to wander gently into the woods. We aim to finish at 2.00pm.
We shall prepare and cook a communal lunch together. We ask if you can to bring a chopped vegetable to add the pot! Or some bread or cake to contribute to the table as eating is an important time to come together. We shall provide brews, snacks and lunch (dietary requirements will be catered for where practically possible).
We are super excited to share that this project is being supported by Awards4All Funding from the Big Lottery. This allows us to offer your ticket to be purchased at a sliding scale to these sessions are open and available to all.
