In May 2021 we received £500 pounds from the Magic Little Grants, Localgiving.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to the support and contributions from the Players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, who make this programme possible.
The six funding trusts from the People’s Postcode Lottery who we will be collaborating with to administer our biggest ever Magic Little Grants programme in 2022 are:

Funding application: The funding will be used to purchase some jackets to allow a more comfortable experience during the winter months- for equipment they cannot afford. The rest will be split between staff and volunteer costs and venue hire to deliver sessions in canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards. To be able to offer sessions for those with mental health difficulties help get active and provide an opportunity to socialise. Also, to try something new and hopefully get involved in a regular physical activity.
Funding monitoring feedback: We provided woodland based sessions involving low level outdoor physical activity. The funding helped us to purchase a kettle for the fire and bushcraft cooking equipment to allow us to provide drinks, snacks and lunch. The funding covered some of the volunteer costs to help facilitate these sessions and covered part of the hire venue costs. This allowed to provide sessions for a greater number of people and be able to come together as a community round the fire whilst cooking and connecting.
